About the General Knowledge Endorsement Test
Everyone who wants to drive a commercial vehicle must take the CDL General Knowledge test at the DMV. At the DMV you will be required to show a valid drivers license in the state you are testing, proof of residence and age. You must score an 80% or better to pass the general knowledge test.
You must be 18 to drive in state and you have to be 21 to drive out of state. The general knowledge written test is easy once you have taken our practice quizzes. 50,000 unprepared people failed the CDL written test last year. Don't risk waiting on a long line at the DMV only to fail the test.
